The active ingredient Propolis
Propolis is the valuable protective resin of honey bees. The raw material is collected as a resinous substance from the buds and bark of various trees and processed into the finished propolis by adding ferments, pollen and wax. Only about 60-100 g can be “harvested” per year in a beehive. Similar to the honey harvest, the propolis production takes place without the life in the beehive being impaired.
