CETIRIZINE Heumann
Active substance: Cetirizine dihydrochloride
For adults and children from 6 years of age, indicated for:
- Relief of nasal and eye symptoms in seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis
- Relief of chronic urticaria (chronic idiopathic urticaria)
- 10 mg of cetirizine dihydrochloride
- Lactose-1 water
- Cellulose, microcrystalline
- Hypromellose
- Magnesium stearate (vegetable)
- Silica, finely divided
- Macrogol 400
- Titanium dioxide
- Cetirizine dihydrochloride is the active ingredient of the preparation.
- The medicine is an antiallergic agent.
- In adults and children from 6 years of age, the medicine is indicated for:
- Relief of nasal and eye symptoms in seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis.
- Relief from hives (urticaria).

- Always take this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years
- The recommended dose is: 10 mg once a day as 1 tablet

Children between 6 and 12 years
- The recommended dose is: 5 mg twice a day as half a tablet twice a day

Patients with kidney failure
- Patients with moderate kidney failure are recommended to take 5 mg once daily.
- If you have severe kidney disease, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist, who will be able to adjust your dose accordingly.
- If your child has severe kidney disease, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist, who will be able to adjust the dose according to the child s needs.
- If you have the impression that the effect is too weak or too strong, please contact your doctor.

If you take more than you should
- If you think you have taken an overdose of this medicine, please tell your doctor.
- Your doctor will then decide what action to take, if any.
- After an overdose, the side effects described below may occur with increased intensity. Adverse effects such as confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, tiredness, headache, malaise, dilated pupils, itching, restlessness, sedation, drowsiness, drowsiness, increased heart rate, tremors and urinary retention have been reported.

If you forget to take a dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

- The tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of liquid.

- The following side effects are rare or very rare. If you experience these side effects, stop taking the medicine immediately and contact your doctor:
- Allergic reactions, including serious allergic reactions and angioedema (serious allergic reaction causing swelling of the face and throat).
- These reactions can happen soon after you first take the medicine or later.
- Common side effects (affects 1 to 10 users in 100)
- Somnolence (sleepiness)
- Dizziness, headache
- Pharyngitis (inflammation of the throat), rhinitis (runny nose in children)
- Diarrhea, nausea, dry mouth
